Sober Weekend Contest Ended - Check Back for Winners
Berkeley Alcohol Awareness Month, April 2008

The City of Berkeley, UC Berkeley, California Department of Alcohol Beverage Control, and local agencies are collaborating on the Fifth Annual Berkeley Alcohol Awareness Month. We are calling out to everyone in Berkeley to help prevent alcohol problems in our city.
Kick-off at City Hall -
Friday April 4, 12-1pm
Berkeley City Hall - Rear Courtyard
Join Mayor Tom Bates as he calls the community to action by ringing the Peace Bell, followed by a moment of silence and the announcement of winning posters by Berkeley K-12 students.
Should you be concerned about alcohol use/abuse?
Take a quiz and see if you -- or someone you know -- could benefit from more information about drinking or drug use. Take advantage of the
Alcohol Screening Days, and drop in to one of the sites listed to the right. Print out sample screening tools and a list of resources in the Berkeley area.

Sober Weekend

Can you do it? Abstain for 72 hours? Report how you did and enter prizes including an iPod docking station/alarm clock combo at the website. Individuals who experience difficulty or discomfort are urged to contact local resources. See PartySafe@Cal for more information.
